It does not only effect the quality of education ,it ruins the mental health of students as well as it makes other person to feel a failure. Favouritism can be due to social influence of a person, his financial status , higher positions in society and even some time due to appearances as well. Favouritism have its worst effect on students because they are minors and can not handle with such condition when one of their class fellow without doing any efforts is apple of everyone’s eyes and nobody is appreciating the efforts they are making.

WHAT IS FAVOURITISM ACTUALLY:
In more clearer words we can define favouritism as the unfair system where a student is being given the marks or grades he do not deserve on the basis of favouritism and the rest of the students are not given their righteous marks and there is bias result in grading. The unfair system in classroom leads to mistrust among students and leave untold stories in their mind.DISFAVOURED STUDENTS STOP PARTICIPATION:
Disfavored students restrict their activities and participation in classroom. When they see that their teacher is not willing to listen them and every time your answer or your opinion is neglected and not liked by their teacher then they restrict their participation. Even whenever there is any debate in classroom , the students who are disliked by teacher do not give their opinions in classroom due to fear of being scolded by teacher or due to fear of insult.FAVOURITISM AND STUDENTS RIVALRY:
one of the worst consequences of favouritism is rivalry among students. There become grouping system in classroom where one group is teacher’s favourite and the other group is not liked by teacher. that’s why students become enemies of each other and it badly affect their studies. One group mistreat other students and make them feel jealous and inferior because they have a strong vote of their teacher with them. This leads mistrust among students and also ruin their interest in studies because they know that grading will not be fair.INJSUTICE TO DESERVING STUDENTS:
Its very unfortunate to know that this one foolish act by teacher leads to injustice, the deserving students become victim of favouritism and are not graded according to their performance. Their hard work does not pay off and eventually they stop working hard because now they are of firm belief that there is injustice everywhere and by working hard they are just making themselves tired and no fruitful results will be given to them. Their perspective toward their teacher changes with time and they start feeling injustice everywhere .DEPELTION OF STUDIES INTEREST:
The students who get favouritism and those who are most liked by the teachers stop studying because they know that whatever they do , their marks will be full and grades will be good due to their Influence . this is the reason that their interest in studies diminish and instead of focusing on studies ,they start taking interest in school or classroom’s politics and their minds excel more in fights and dishonesty than for good deeds. They think that everywhere they will have same favouritism and when they change institutes then the realization becomes very bitter when there is no attention given to these students and at the end they only left with negativity in themselves and the whole future is ruined just because of one one foolish act in their school life.STEPS TO FINISH FAVOURITISM:
Just to kill favouritism from classroom , a teacher should play his sensible role and should implement few rules for himself and class . some of the easy steps a teacher should take for a fairer environment is given below.Teachers should understand that they are the role models for many students ,that’s why they should not fall for such politics in class as it would lead a very negative Impact. Self awareness and then self correction should be done. Teachers after making any judgement or result or after grading should ask questions to themselves and should make a self analysis if he/she have done something wrong or unfair to a student.
Teachers should know that every student is equal teaching is a noble profession and there should be fair system everywhere. One injustice to a student can ruin his life and at the end the teacher will be responsible on the day of judgement. By doing favouritis you are not just doing injustice to student whom you do not like but to those as well who are your favourite because one day they have to face the world and at that time they have no good deeds or good academic result or intelligence in them. Then they will blame the teacher that due to these teachers ,they did not study hard and now the conditions are much more difficult.
Authorities should have a complete check and balance on the performance of teacher and there should be a system in every institute where the rechecking can be approached so the fair grading by teachers can be judged. Every result after compilation in final stages should be given a second recheck so there is no chance of any error left and fair result is going to announce.
There should be no personal personal rivalry among students . they should be given lectures on the importance of unity and honesty.
SO, in this article we discussed about favouritism and its bad consequences as well as the steps that should be taken to remove the concept of favouritism from institutes. Students should be given a fair environment where they can enjoy a healthy competition.
