IMPACT OF LOW FUNDING FOR EDUCATION DEPARTMENT - NutrX360

For any country in the world ,education is the most important department . when a government present its budget for the whole year and allocate amount for the betterment of any department then similarly some funds are allocated for education department as well . countries who are highly developed and are more prosperous allocate a huge amount for budget to be spend on education sector each year but still in some under developed countries there are very low funds for education department. Low funding for this important department leads to some consequences and its affect on promoting quality education. Sometimes due to negligence of government students and their parents bear the consequences and suffer most. In this article we will discuss about the impacts of low budget allocation as well as less funding for promotion of quality education. Some of the negative aspects of this are discussed below.

HIGH SCHOOL FEE:

When the government do not give funding to schools or educational institutes then to bear the expenses the authorities put all the burden on students and parents. Everyone want to send their children to well reputed institutes. Officials of schools demand high amount of fee and the parents suffer most . many students can not afford their school and then they are forced to stop their school. This unfortunately leads to illiteracy rate to be increased. Similarly in exams , or any event extra dues are demanded to pay from students and create trouble for the.

EXPENSES OF BOOKS:

When there is very low budget for education then the schools are unable to distribute free textbooks to students .students buy these books by their own pocket and sometimes poor are unable to bear these expenses. That’s why it is very necessary to allocate some funds at least for free books for students because this is not only the responsibility of the state but also the basic human rights as well.

DISTRESSED BUILDINGS:

For any school buildings should be proper and strong enough to protect students and whoever is inside the building. Unfortunately the condition of some schools are so ruined just because of lack of funding. You can find broken windows , weak ceilings and walls not painted well.when ask about these things from any official then the answer will be of low funding by government. The responsible should be must questioned about this because the safety of students are very important and this is basic human right to provide them with quality education institutes all over the country.

LOW SALARIES FOR TEACHER:

Teachers are the backbone for the schools. Both students and teachers are equally important. Due to low income in this profession just because education department is not funded well by government or its low budget, many people do not want to pursue their profession as teachers. Teachers should be given a handsome salary that can motivate them to promote quality education and they can teach to students with full heart . in many public sector institutes ,there is lack of staff just because they are not given enough amount of their hard work and the students are then unfortunately deprived of skills and knowledge that a good teacher can deliver. As compared to government schools , private schools pay handsome amount to their teacher. This is the reason why the performance of students from private institutes are much better then students from public sector institutes.

DIFFERENT CURRICULUM:

Due to low funding schools are unable to deliver same kind of knowledge because of non availability of a well qualified staff or teachers. Some schools follow extra elite syllabus mostly private and then the rest of institutes follow local syllabus. This can cause conflicts in the quality of education . unfortunately not all students enjoy equal rights of good education . there is conflict between rich and poor. Those who can afford their children to send in good reputed schools may win the race while other have to study in a ruined system where the quality education is not promoted . they have degree but not the skills and knowledge like others.

LESS SCHOLARSHIPS:

Due to less resources of education department , the institutes do not offer scholarships or they do not announce even for intelligent and deserving students. This matter should be taken on priority and every institute announce scholarship so those who are on merit but can not get admission just because of the high fee they can not afford , all these students can get help from these scholarships and nobody is deprived of their dreams to be fulfilled. There should be proper way of scholarship for intelligent students as well so more and more student can motivate themselves to study and bring good grades.

STUDY ABROAD:

Unfortunately some students are not rich enough to study internationally in their favourite institutes or subjects due to lack of resources. Education department should allocate some funds for the students who are on merit and some MOU signs between different countries embassies to announce scholarship for international students to study in different countries. This do not only give benefit to student but to exchange the cultural values between different countries as well.

WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE:

This is very valid question that who are actually responsible for all of these issues. Actually from top the government and then the representatives of government and similarly after them the higher officials of education departments are responsible .sometimes the government announces the funds but due to corruption ,these funds do not reach to the right places and higher officials distribute these funds among themselves. Proper check and balance should be done and the resources should be provided to the head of every institute and then they should ask to report where all these resources are going to spend and how this is helpful for the betterment of institutes, students and for promoting quality education as well.

SO, in this article some of the negative impacts of low funding for education departments are discussed and how they adversely affect the quality of education and good standards. This is the basic human right of every person to get good education and the state is responsible for this . in case of any mishandling the responsible should be questioned and there should be proper inquiry.
